Configuring Permissions
Go to Permissions
Navigate to Settings → Nixa Duplicate Pro → Permissions.
Select Roles
Check the roles that should have duplication access.
Save Changes
Click Save Changes to apply.
Per-Post-Type Permissions
Pro allows different permissions for each post type:
- Authors can duplicate Posts but not Pages
- Shop Managers can duplicate Products only
- Custom roles can have custom access
Enable Advanced Permissions in settings to configure per-post-type access.
Custom Role Support
Any custom role appears automatically in the permissions list:
- Shop Manager (WooCommerce)
- SEO Manager
- Content Manager
- Any role from plugins or themes
Permission Logic
A user can duplicate a post if:
- Their role is enabled in Nixa Duplicate Pro
- They have WordPress capability to edit the post type
- They have WordPress capability to edit the specific post
- (If per-post-type enabled) Their role is enabled for that post type
WordPress Capabilities
Nixa Duplicate respects WordPress core capabilities. Users can only duplicate content they can edit.
